About the position

The Career Coach position at the LSU Olinde Career Center is designed to support College of Engineering students and alumni in their career development journey. This role involves providing career coaching, facilitating experiential learning opportunities, and promoting a culture of career readiness within the College. The Career Coach will work closely with students, faculty, and employers to enhance career services and ensure students are well-prepared for their professional futures.

Responsibilities

• Advise undergraduate and graduate students, along with alumni, on holistic career development topics.
• Educate students through one-on-one appointments, presentations, workshops, and print/virtual resources.
• Serve as a career liaison to the College of Engineering to develop a culture of career readiness.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to embed career readiness in student engagement.
• Build relationships with student organizations to facilitate career conversations.
• Facilitate connections between employers and College representatives.
• Ensure high-quality programmatic outputs and continuous improvement of services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of one year of professional work experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in higher education administration or related field
• Experience working in a university career services office.
