About the position

The Career Coach for Experiential Learning at the University of Florida is responsible for supporting students in their career development through experiential learning opportunities. This role involves maintaining records of experiential learning initiatives, facilitating career education workshops, and providing individual coaching to students. The position aims to enhance students' access to experiential learning and promote the university's impact in this area.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain quantitative and qualitative records for experiential learning engagement for assessment and reporting purposes.
  • Manage database systems and tracking documents for experiential learning initiatives across campus.
  • Provide follow-up to students, employers, and campus partners to maintain accurate experiential learning records.
  • Track and report on student experiences for campus stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on experiential learning trends and best practices.
  • Facilitate career education workshops and design resources for students.
  • Conduct pre-experience and post-experience activities for reflective practices.
  • Collaborate on programming and outreach to promote experiential learning.
  • Collect data on programs and resource usage for reporting purposes.
  • Provide career planning services to all students, including individual appointments and group coaching.
  • Deliver outreach presentations to advance experiential learning outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Experiential Learning team to review data and maintain best practices.
  • Maintain campus partnerships to increase access to experiential learning opportunities.
  • Create targeted messaging and marketing about the importance of experiential learning.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an appropriate area or a bachelor's degree with two years of related experience.
  • Certified Career Services Practitioner (CCSP) to be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in career development, education, career coaching, HR, stakeholder engagement, or marketing.
  • Experience working inclusively with diverse populations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, social sciences, education, student personnel, or human resources (HR).

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a starting salary of $50,000.
