As a Career Coach, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the orientation and onboarding process for all new hire Partners. This position involves delivering hourly in-store training and reporting for all departments, facilitating and guiding Partners in their career planning and growth, and performing various administrative duties. You will ensure that all Partners are well-informed about the career opportunities available at Joe V's Smart Shop. In this role, you will be responsible for training hourly Partners, providing both individual and group training sessions, conducting demonstrations, and offering store overviews. You will also complete necessary training administration tasks, including documentation, tracking, and assessments. Facilitating career planning discussions with Partners and equipping them with the necessary career tools and resources will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will work closely with department managers to monitor training progress and provide timely feedback on performance. Additionally, you will communicate any Partner concerns to the Department Manager and Top Leader when appropriate, promoting a learning culture within the Division. Your work will also involve conducting in-store workshops, coordinating and supporting JVSS Academy programs, reviewing payroll reports to ensure proper hour allocation, processing Partner profile changes in the PeopleSoft system, and maintaining files on hourly Store Partners. You will be expected to prepare reports and presentations by collecting, compiling, and analyzing relevant information and data, as well as updating Partner Communication boards as needed. Overall, this position requires a blend of training, coaching, and administrative skills to support the development of Partners and enhance their career opportunities at Joe V's Smart Shop.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the orientation and onboarding for all new hire Partners.
  • Deliver hourly in-store training and reporting for all departments.
  • Facilitate and guide Partners in career planning and career growth.
  • Perform administrative duties related to training and onboarding.
  • Train hourly Partners through individual and group training sessions.
  • Complete training administration including documentation, tracking, and assessments.
  • Facilitate career planning discussions with Partners and equip them with career tools and resources.
  • Work with department managers to monitor training progress and provide feedback on performance.
  • Communicate Partner concerns to Department Manager and Top Leader when appropriate.
  • Promote the learning culture of the Division through workshops and training sessions.
  • Coordinate and support JVSS Academy programs and processes.
  • Review weekly payroll reports to ensure hours are charged properly.
  • Process Partner profile changes and new hire information in PeopleSoft system.
  • Maintain files on hourly Store Partners and update as needed.
  • Prepare reports and presentations by collecting, compiling, and analyzing information and data.
  • Update Partner Communication boards for total store as requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in retail store operations or in a clerical, administrative role.
  • Experience in training (facilitation, delivery, group training).
  • Completion of required job skills and compliance-related training.
  • Knowledge of the business and department operations.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced training and facilitation skills; ability to adjust training style as needed.
  • Time-management, planning, coordinating, and organization skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • PC skills; proficiency in MS Office and PeopleSoft.
  • Ability to provide training feedback and coaching effectively to Partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
