About the position

The Pre-ETS Career Coach at New Horizons Rehabilitation is responsible for assisting students with disabilities, aged 14-22, in achieving their individual transition goals. This role focuses on providing Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) which include training in workplace readiness, self-advocacy, job exploration, and counseling on postsecondary education and training opportunities. The Career Coach will facilitate activities that help students develop essential skills for employment and education, while also fostering strong relationships with students, families, schools, and local businesses.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities in achieving their individual transition goals.
• Facilitate Pre-ETS activities tailored to support students' employment and education goals.
• Provide training in workplace readiness and self-advocacy.
• Counsel students on postsecondary education and training opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong ties with students, families, school districts, and local businesses.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma required; 4 years of higher education preferred.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification.
