About the position

The Career Coach Lead at KRA Corporation plays a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) customers. This position involves providing training, guidance, and support to case management personnel who are assigned a caseload of WIOA customers. The Career Coach Lead is responsible for ensuring that case management personnel effectively engage eligible customers, assisting them with career coaching to ultimately help them secure employment. In addition to overseeing staff, the Career Coach Lead may also manage a personal caseload, ensuring that all contract-established outcomes are met in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. The Career Coach Lead will provide day-to-day operational guidance to staff, fostering a positive, innovative, and productive environment. This includes delivering career counseling and intensive case management services to WIOA customers within the One-Stop system. The role requires completing intake and eligibility determinations for WIOA Adults and Dislocated Workers, assessing jobseekers' employment and training needs through various methods, and entering data into the participant information system as required. The Career Coach Lead will guide jobseekers in preparing individual employment plans (IEP) tailored to their specific career and educational goals, while also counseling them on local labor market conditions, available job opportunities, and training programs. Additionally, the Career Coach Lead will conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs, and other group presentations, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures related to eligibility documentation. Maintaining accurate individual case files for each registered customer is crucial, as is administering assessments to determine competencies and career paths. The role also includes providing twelve-month post-exit follow-up services for all registered WIOA customers, verifying enrollment in post-secondary education or training, and ensuring credential attainment throughout the follow-up period. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational guidance to staff and manage daily operations.
  • Ensure all contract-established outcomes are met and carried out in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to case management personnel.
  • Deliver career counseling and intensive case management services to WIOA customers.
  • Complete intake and eligibility determination for WIOA Adults and Dislocated Workers.
  • Assess jobseekers' employment and training needs and abilities through interviewing, testing, and other methods.
  • Enter data into and process clients through the participant information system as required.
  • Guide jobseekers in preparing individual employment plans (IEP) based on their specific career and educational goals.
  • Counsel customers on the local labor market, available job opportunities, and training programs.
  • Refer individuals to appropriate services and follow up on those activities.
  • Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs, and other group presentations.
  • Maintain accurate individual case files for each registered customer, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Administer reading and mathematics appraisals to each customer enrolled in WIOA Services.
  • Administer various career interest inventories and aptitude assessments to registered customers.
  • Develop a comprehensive Individual Employment Plan (IEP) for all customers.
  • Provide referral and tracking of eligible customers into programs provided on-site at the One-Stop centers and/or in the community.
  • Provide twelve (12) month post-exit follow-up services for all registered WIOA customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (or eight years of professional work experience in lieu of a degree).
  • Minimum of three years of experience with WIOA programs and policies.
  • Experience working with adults in the workforce system and those disconnected from services.
  • Experience with Career Connect case management system.
  • Fluency in Spanish highly preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a registered, insured vehicle.
