About the position

The Work Development Specialist at BrightQuest Treatment Center plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with complex mental illness and co-occurring disorders. This position focuses on facilitating work development programs, providing counseling, and ensuring clients achieve their volunteering, educational, or career goals within a therapeutic community model. The specialist acts as a liaison between the clinical team and clients, promoting adherence to program expectations and fostering a supportive environment for personal growth and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate work development-focused groups and other milieu-related groups as necessary.
• Educate clients on the Work Development Sub-Program.
• Provide individual and group counseling related to work development.
• Transport groups to volunteer sites and support clients in maintaining their volunteer shifts.
• Conduct individual 1:1 sessions to review clients' work development goals and address any issues related to attendance.
• Support and educate Milieu Support Staff on job etiquette and professionalism.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Experience in work development required.
• Ability to implement and enforce program guidelines and policies.
• Knowledge of record keeping, documenting, and filing.
• Current and active licensure or certification must be maintained.
• Understanding of mental illness and co-occurring disorders preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to use various software programs.
• Valid driver's license in good standing and auto insurance.
