About the position

The Career Coaching Supervisor at Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. is responsible for managing a team of certified career coaches who provide career, employment, and education assistance under the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) Program. This role involves overseeing the development, coordination, and evaluation of coaching services, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and fostering a culture of service excellence within a virtual contact center environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage career coaching employees virtually, overseeing their development and performance.
• Serve as the primary management resource for approximately 15-18 career coach staff.
• Hire, train, motivate, and coach employees, providing performance feedback and training opportunities.
• Resolve spouse conflicts or complaints using exceptional de-escalation and customer service skills.
• Ensure compliance with contract-related activities, including government deliverables and personnel management.
• Conduct interviews, hire and train employees, and manage staff-related complaints.
• Collaborate in a team environment and work independently on tasks and projects.
• Provide program guidance and quality control to ensure service delivery compliance.
• Implement industry-standard contact center practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Career Counseling, Counseling, Higher Education, Administration/Leadership, Education, Adult Education, or related field.
• Two years of experience in higher education, workforce development, or social service program administration/management.
• Two years of personnel management/staff supervision experience.
• Experience supervising career coaches/counselors providing services to adults across the career development lifespan.
• Supervisory experience including onboarding, coaching, training, and performance management.
• Experience providing career and educational counseling or coaching to diverse adult populations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage change and communicate contract expectations positively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in higher education or knowledge of post-secondary educational institutions.
• Certification as a Certified Career Counselor (CCC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), or Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP).
• Certification in MBTI and/or Strong Interest Inventory.
• Familiarity with government contracting processes.
• Knowledge or experience with military lifestyle or populations.
