About the position

The Young Adult Career Coach at JVS MassHire is responsible for delivering innovative and customer-focused career services to job seekers aged 18-24. This role involves providing one-on-one career coaching, facilitating workshops, and assisting young adults in their job search and career exploration. The Career Coach will work collaboratively with the Career Center team to support diverse job seekers, particularly those who are at-risk or economically disadvantaged, in achieving their employment goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual 1:1 career coaching to young adult job seekers.
• Assist customers with job search, training, and employment opportunities.
• Facilitate job readiness, employment skills, and life skills workshops.
• Develop and implement Case Management Plans for young adults.
• Utilize local and national labor market trends to guide job seekers.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided through the MOSES database.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, ensuring professionalism and compassion.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to performance improvement strategies.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field.
• Two years of experience in career counseling, case management, or recruitment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• High level of computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working with culturally diverse populations.

• Experience in establishing partnerships with external stakeholders.
