About the position

The Career Coach at the University of North Carolina at Asheville is responsible for providing career coaching services to students and alumni, facilitating workshops, and developing outreach initiatives. This role aims to enhance career development opportunities and support students in achieving their career goals. The Career Coach will also oversee the Career Peer educator program, which involves training undergraduate students to assist their peers in career education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Career Coaching Services (40%)
  • Lead and expand the Career Peer program (25%)
  • Lead and expand Career Center outreach and marketing (15%)
  • Develop campus partnerships for presentations and workshops (10%)
  • Assist with planning and coordinating Events (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned (5%)

Requirements

  • Master's degree or a bachelor's degree with 3 or more years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience working with college students

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Human Resources, or related field
  • Experience in program development, delivery and teaching
  • Experience working with college students and alumni
