About the position

The Career Coach at Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) is responsible for providing direct services to low-to-moderate-income individuals enrolled in the Financial Opportunity Center (FOC). This role involves assisting participants in identifying career aspirations, preparing for employment opportunities, and connecting them with job training and placement services. The Career Coach will also conduct workshops, maintain relationships with employers, and promote career opportunities within the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide career coaching and job retention services to FOC participants.
• Assist participants in identifying long-term career aspirations and develop actionable steps to achieve their goals.
• Prepare participants for employment through coaching on job search techniques, interview etiquette, and resume development.
• Conduct workshops and maintain relationships with employers to promote career opportunities.
• Screen participants for program eligibility and conduct intake and orientation.
• Collect and compile customer data for program assessment and evaluation purposes.
• Track participant activity, progress, and outcomes through SalesForce.
• Participate in outreach and recruitment activities, including attending job fairs.

Requirements

• Experience in career coaching and employment placement.
• Knowledge of integrating financial coaching and income supports within employment services.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• Culturally competent in working with diverse populations.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
