About the position

The Women's Center is seeking a full-time Career Coach to join their Employment Solutions Program. This role focuses on providing employment, financial, and resource coaching to unemployed and underemployed individuals, primarily women. The Career Coach will utilize coaching techniques in both English and Spanish to assist participants in achieving employment and financial stability, facilitating workshops, and maintaining ongoing support for job search and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants in becoming successfully employed and financially stable.
• Facilitate motivational job search workshops and create an atmosphere of personal growth.
• Provide job placement/matching with participants.
• Conduct weekly networking and job search sessions, maintaining regular contact with participants.
• Provide one-on-one job search coaching until participants are employed and for job advancement for one to three years after employment.
• Maintain regular contact with participants, providing employment and financial coaching techniques.
• Outreach to participants for follow-up.
• Accurately collect and enter data into electronic systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social services, communication, or a related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in coaching, case management, or social services providing employment or job readiness training.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Access to regular and reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in job search/job readiness skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
