About the position

The Global Excellence Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Career Coach to fulfill project requirements with a DC utility agency. This role is part-time and remote, anticipated to begin in October 2024, and will last for approximately three months. The Career Coach will be responsible for evaluating individuals' backgrounds, skills, and interests, and matching them to potential job openings, specifically for MBA and Master's level clients. The position requires a strong focus on coaching and preparing clients for interviews and re-entry into the workforce, leveraging their work experience to identify job opportunities and match qualified individuals with employment prospects. The Career Coach will provide weekly virtual coaching sessions throughout the duration of the project, preferably using platforms such as MS Teams or Zoom. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in providing one-on-one coaching for outplacement services, including resume and cover letter writing and review, conducting mock interviews, career coaching, and professional branding. While Career Coach certification or other relevant HR certifications are preferred, they are not mandatory. The role emphasizes the importance of supporting former employees in finding their next opportunity through tailored coaching and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate individuals' backgrounds, skills, and interests to match them with potential job openings.
  • Coach and prepare clients for interviews and re-entry into the workforce.
  • Leverage individuals' work experience to identify job opportunities.

Requirements
