About the position

The Career Coach position at Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is a part-time role focused on assisting individuals with barriers to employment in achieving independence and self-sufficiency. The position involves coaching, coordinating tasks, and promoting personal growth for individuals, particularly in relation to their micro-enterprise businesses.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and promotion of each individual's business.
• Coordinate tasks/jobs within incubator space and/or community sites.
• Ensure high quality of production of goods and services.
• Assist individuals in reaching their IPOS goals, specifically with regard to their micro-enterprise business.
• Ensure supplies are properly secured for each job.
• Work on production, when necessary.
• Coach and promote personal growth for each individual to reach quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma required, with a preference for those with an Associate's Degree.
• Previous production and/or training experience of at least two years is highly desirable.
• Must have computer skills; graphic experience is a plus.
• Experience in small business community preferred.
• Ability to function as a job coach for people with disabilities.
• Dependable, tactful, resourceful, and possess good judgment.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and maintain car insurance.
