About the position

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Career Coach to assist job seekers in overcoming barriers to employment. This role focuses on connecting individuals with resources and services to help them achieve long-term employment and career paths, particularly for those facing challenges such as disabilities, criminal backgrounds, and limited education.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the recruitment of program participants.
• Complete needs assessments and conduct intake interviews to determine financial barriers.
• Assist participants with job search and job placement activities as necessary.
• Help external retail participants develop individualized action plans based on their barriers, needs, and goals.
• Locate additional resources for participants and make referrals to other agencies as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, human relations, social work, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of four years of work experience in workforce development, human services, or counseling environments, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Must maintain participant confidentiality and follow the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor Code of Ethics.
