About the position

The Career Coach is responsible for providing comprehensive services to WIOA customers, including recruitment, enrollment, career assessment, job search assistance, and case management. This role involves assisting customers in achieving their career goals and ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support. The Career Coach will also collaborate with Business Services to fill job openings and participate in large-scale hiring events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide recruitment and enrollment services to WIOA customers.
  • Conduct career assessments and assist with job search activities.
  • Offer resume writing support and goal setting for customers.
  • Facilitate job clubs and intensive activities for skill development.
  • Manage case files and provide follow-up services to customers post-program.
  • Assist in the ES Resource Room to ensure customer service coverage.
  • Collaborate with Business Services to fill job openings and provide prescreened referrals.
  • Meet or exceed placement goals set for the position.
  • Work cooperatively with the WIOA team during large-scale hiring events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
  • Two years of work experience in WIOA programs or related Workforce Development programs.
  • Experience in placement service settings, teaching, or human services is beneficial.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
