About the position

The Career Development Coach at NYU's Global Programs & University Life organization plays a vital role in guiding and supporting graduate students through their career planning, decision-making, and job-searching processes. This position emphasizes the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that all students have access to the necessary resources and support to achieve their career goals. The coach will also be responsible for planning and implementing career-related programs while maintaining relationships with employers and stakeholders across NYU's global sites.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support graduate students in career planning and job searching processes.
• Assist students in analyzing their interests and skills to develop career goals.
• Plan, market, and implement career-related programs.
• Gather data to analyze program effectiveness.
• Establish and maintain relationships between the institution and employers.
• Liaise with senior stakeholders including faculty and university administrators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience in career services, counseling, student personnel, or human resources.
• Experience in implementing programs, seminars, and events.
• Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a related field.
