About the position

The Career Development Consultant uses modern talent planning approaches and meaningful solutions that enable scale and strengthen organizational adaptability and agility. In partnership with other Career Development Consultants, works closely with K-12 students, academic partners, employees, and other key stakeholders to support the workforce pipeline initiatives at Sanford Health. Supports programming related to K-12 student initiatives, career planning, and strategic workforce development. Interacts with students to help identify and support their career goals. Acts as a liaison between Sanford Health, students, and associated academic partners. The role involves collaboration with students, educators, families, and community stakeholders to cultivate students' career readiness and contribute to the development of a robust healthcare workforce pipeline. Assists with the marketing of career development services, scholarships, sponsorships, educational assistance, well-being, and leadership development programs offered by Sanford. Collaborate with other Career Development Consultants to evaluate and expand of career development services and programs. Provides career guidance and consultation to students and employees to successfully meet the workforce development needs of the future. Effective communication skills are essential: personal, verbal, written, and electronic. Ability to function in a collaborative, fast-paced, customer-driven organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, counseling, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology, business, healthcare administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum of three years progressive career development experience within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Career Coaching Certification required and must be completed within 6 months of hire.
