About the position

The Career Development Manager at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is responsible for enhancing the Career Development experience for the Consulting Team staff on the West Coast. This role involves managing performance management processes, facilitating feedback mechanisms, and supporting local leadership in delivering developmental conversations and experiences. The position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the CD Senior Manager to deliver an excellent Career Development experience.
• Manage the end-to-end process of assigned Career Development Committee (CDC) meetings.
• Oversee meeting readiness and ensure pre-meeting tasks are completed to standards.
• Contribute to CDC meeting discussions on policy and best practices.
• Capture post-meeting outcomes and updates.
• Hold Consulting Team (CT) and CD Advisors accountable for feedback standards.
• Act as a source of truth for review process-related questions.
• Support local CD leadership by organizing discussions and debriefs.
• Oversee assignments of CD Advisors to CT staff within assigned cohorts.
• Co-facilitate onboarding sessions and trainings for CT staff.
• Draft communications to local CT on timely topics and updates.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree required.
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• Prior experience at BCG or another management consulting firm highly preferred.
• Experience in a People-related role highly preferred.
