About the position

As a Career Development Manager at Boston Consulting Group, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Career Development experience for the Consulting Team staff. This position involves managing performance management processes, facilitating feedback mechanisms, and supporting local leadership in delivering developmental conversations and experiences. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and strategic initiatives that drive a best-in-class career experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the CD Director to deliver an excellent Career Development experience.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of assigned Career Development Committee (CDC) meetings.
  • Oversee meeting readiness and ensure pre-meeting tasks are completed to standards of quality and timeliness.
  • Contribute to CDC meeting discussions on policy, precedent, and best practices.
  • Capture post-meeting outcomes and updates.
  • Hold Consulting Team (CT) and Career Development (CD) Advisors accountable for feedback standards.
  • Act as a source of truth on review process-related questions.
  • Support local CD leadership by organizing pre-meeting discussions and post-meeting debriefs.
  • Oversee assignments of CD Advisors to CT staff within assigned cohorts.
  • Co-facilitate onboarding sessions, trainings, and cohort meetings.
  • Draft communications to local CT on timely topics and updates.
  • Participate in strategic efforts to drive best-in-class career experience for the Consulting Team.
  • Support year-end bonus processes and CD activities for Great Lakes and NAMR offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Prior experience at BCG or another management consulting firm preferred.
  • Experience in a People-related role preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with consulting team dynamics.
