About the position

The Career Intervention Coach at Tri-County Career Center is responsible for guiding students in their college readiness and career exploration efforts. This role involves providing support for college enrollment, facilitating instruction related to financial aid inquiries, and coaching students for standardized testing. The coach will also assist with credit recovery and collaborate with educational teams to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities

• Stay up to date on college readiness information and work with students to enroll in college.
• Facilitate instruction based on FASFA inquiries.
• Coach with support of ACT/SAT testing for students.
• Support PBIS strategies which may be through in-school suspension or one-on-one tutoring with students.
• Support students with credit recovery.
• Support students with direction on possible career pathways.
• Coordinate Career-Tech support for home school; and work with home schools on career exploration efforts.
• Work with IEP team to support staff and students.

Requirements

• Business and Industry related experiences.
• Experience working in a school setting.
• Background in Education or related field with work experience preferred.
• Experience working with challenging students.
