About the position

As a Career Navigator at Goodwill Industries of Hawaii, you will play a crucial role in marketing and representing the Supporting Employment Empowerment (SEE) Hawaii Work Program to community business employers. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting employers in partnering with the SEE Hawaii Work Program, evaluating participants' job readiness, and providing pre- and post-employment support to ensure successful employment outcomes. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong motivation to help individuals overcome employment barriers and achieve self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Market and represent the SEE Hawaii Work Program to community business employers.
  • Assist employers in partnering with the SEE Hawaii Work Program.
  • Work with FTW Case Managers to assess participants' job readiness.
  • Match participants to business employment needs.
  • Provide pre- and post-employment support to participants and employers.
  • Research prospective partner businesses and stay informed about job trends.
  • Develop marketing tools to promote the SEE Program to employers.
  • Counsel participants and provide educational and vocational guidance services.
  • Conduct workshops to increase participants' job readiness.
  • Maintain regular follow-up with participants to ensure job retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience or training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or Marketing and Communications.
