About the position

The Entry Level Architectural Designer position at SmithGroup involves working under direct supervision to assist in various architectural assignments. The role focuses on documenting changes to architectural drawings, consulting with manufacturers, and supporting construction administration tasks. The ideal candidate will contribute to a collaborative team environment while developing their skills in architectural design and project management.

Responsibilities

• Perform specific/limited portions of architectural assignments under direct supervision.
• Document changes to architectural drawings as instructed.
• Consult with manufacturers, research and evaluate materials.
• Assist in construction administration including responding to RFIs, preparing sketches and addendums, and visiting construction sites to gather information.
• Create graphics and research information for inclusion in marketing proposals and materials.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• Prior architectural office experience such as summer, co-op, and intern work in the AE field.
• Must be eligible to take the Architectural Registration Examination within a few years.
• On-the-job experience using Revit to produce construction documents.
• High proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Nice-to-haves
