About the position

The Career Pathways Coordinator at Trying Together plays a vital role in supporting early childhood education by acting as the main intermediary between Trying Together and the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). This position focuses on facilitating workforce development opportunities for early education professionals, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and the needs of the community. The coordinator will work closely with various teams to provide technical assistance for funding applications and develop professional learning opportunities for educators.

Responsibilities

  • Commitment to racial equity and inclusion and participation in professional growth opportunities.
  • Create a culture of belonging at Trying Together.
  • Process and provide technical assistance for PASSHE PDO funding applications.
  • Serve as a resource for career advising for students in the ECE field.
  • Assist in coordinating access to professional development resources like T.E.A.C.H. and PA CDA voucher system.
  • Develop, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate professional learning opportunities for early educators.
  • Facilitate professional development on relevant topics for early learning professionals and stakeholders.
  • Reflect and evaluate projects and programs to ensure alignment with the organization's mission.
  • Collaborate across departments to meet the mission and accomplish work.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development for continuous learning.
  • Use the NeonCRM platform to build relationships and support quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Child Development, Early Childhood, or related field, or three years of related experience in Early Childhood Education career development.
  • Experience facilitating professional development is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
