About the position

The Career Program Specialist leads Posse's Career Program in Atlanta, focusing on helping Posse Scholars transition from campus leaders to workforce leaders. This role involves developing and leading career-enhancing programming, collaborating with partners, and connecting Scholars and alumni to career development resources. The Specialist also collects data on career outcomes and coordinates with national staff to ensure high-quality programming.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead exciting, career-enhancing programming such as workshops and special events.
  • Collaborate with the Director and development staff to cultivate and manage career partnerships.
  • Connect Scholars and alumni to resources for career development services, including internship and job search support, skill building, and ongoing career guidance.
  • Support other Posse programming as needed in collaboration with the Program Directors.
  • Collect data and report on career outcomes.
  • Coordinate with national staff to deliver high-quality programming for Scholars and Alumni.
  • Maintain close relationships with program partners and directors of university career centers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience working with youth strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in corporate settings is a plus.
  • Experience managing volunteers is a plus.
  • Experience facilitating workshops preferred.
  • Event planning experience preferred.
  • Database management skills strongly desired, e.g., Salesforce.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Graduate degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated belief in Posse's mission and values.
