About the position

The Career Readiness Institute (CRI) Coach at Livingstone College is responsible for empowering students in their professional development and career readiness. This role involves designing and implementing co-curricular activities, workshops, and resources that enhance students' employability and graduate school preparedness while fostering student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct personalized career and graduate school counseling sessions with students to assess their interests, strengths, and aspirations.
• Provide expert guidance on resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
• Assist students in identifying suitable internship and job opportunities and connect them with potential employers.
• Develop creative outreach initiatives to promote student participation and monitor engagement.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with local employers, industry professionals, and alumni for internship and job placements.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, career outcomes, and program effectiveness.
• Plan and execute career and graduate school fairs, networking events, and on-campus recruitment activities.
• Assist with administrative and other duties as needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree.
• Proven experience in career and graduate school coaching.
• Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office Suite and educational learning platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with career development tools, job search platforms, and student information systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings.
• A passion for student development and empowering individuals for success.
