Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans and strategies to achieve graduate employment goals.
  • Acquire externship sites through various outreach methods including cold calling and networking.
  • Determine the optimum externship site for each student based on assessments and coordinate interviews.
  • Monitor and track externship site availability through ongoing communication.
  • Conduct pre-externship orientation workshops for seniors before their externships.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor students' progress and facilitate evaluations by site supervisors.
  • Conduct job search workshops to assist students with networking, resume writing, and interviewing techniques.
  • Advise graduates on optimizing job search activities and revising their portfolios.
  • Facilitate and participate in Advisory Board meetings to discuss retention and placement statistics.
  • Participate in campus and off-campus events such as graduations and job fairs.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure all requisite documentation is complete before externship placement.
  • Prepare externship packets and enter attendance for all externship students.
  • Prepare students' files and coordinate follow-up activities in preparation for graduation.
  • Verify and enter data relevant to graduates' employment in Campus Nexus.
  • Search for job openings and maintain lists to inform graduates.
  • Prepare marketing packets and build partnership opportunities with potential employers.
  • Track and enter data relevant to credentialing and programmatic licensure.

Requirements

  • CPR Certification
  • Mid-level experience in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in recruiting and interviewing
  • Associate's degree
  • 2 years of relevant communication skills experience

Nice-to-haves
