About the position

The Caregiver for Brain Injury Rehabilitation at Minds in Motion Initiative (MIMI) is a full-time role focused on providing compassionate support to individuals with brain injuries. The position involves implementing independent living goals and assisting clients in developing essential life skills to promote their independence and well-being. The caregiver will work in a residential setting, providing 24/7 support and guidance to help clients transition towards living in a natural setting of their choice.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene and bathing skills.
• Manage medication for clients.
• Support clients in budgeting and money management.
• Help clients with shopping and nutrition preparation.
• Teach safety procedures and mobility skills.
• Guide clients in using public transportation.
• Foster personal and social behavior skills.
• Promote sleep hygiene among clients.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Successful clearance of background check.
• Negative drug screening result.
• Experience working with people with brain injuries preferred.
