About the position

The Caregiver position at Minds in Motion Initiative (MIMI) focuses on providing rehabilitation services for individuals with brain injuries. The role involves supporting clients in achieving their independent living goals through a compassionate and dedicated approach. Caregivers will work in a residential setting, offering 24/7 support and guidance to help clients develop essential life skills necessary for living independently.

Responsibilities

• Implement clients' independent living goals in alignment with MIMI's core values and mission.
• Assist and teach personal hygiene and bathing skills.
• Manage medication for clients.
• Support clients in budgeting and money management.
• Assist with shopping and nutrition meal preparation.
• Ensure safety procedures and mobility support for clients.
• Teach the use of public transportation.
• Develop personal and social behavior skills with clients.
• Promote sleep hygiene practices.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Successful clearance of background check.
• Negative drug screening result.
• Experience working with people with brain injuries preferred.
