About the position

Allpro Homecare is seeking an In-Home Caregiver to provide quality care to our veteran population. This role involves assisting clients with non-medical personal care, daily living activities, and companionship, ensuring their safety and enhancing their quality of life at home. The position is an Independent Contractor role, allowing caregivers to set their own schedules and work as needed, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assists client with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assists client with toileting, including use of bedpan, commode, or toilet.
• Assists client with transfers and ambulation including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair.
• Performs housekeeping duties.
• Plans, prepares, and serves meals, with assistance from the clients when they are able.
• Assists with shopping and errands.
• Reports any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator.
• Acts quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
• Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Experience as a Caregiver preferable.
• Valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation.
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client).
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Adequate physical endurance.
