About the position

The Caregiver Community Ambassador role at Commonwise Home Care involves providing personal care and support to residents in a luxury independent living community. This position focuses on assisting with daily living activities, fostering relationships with residents and their families, and advocating for their well-being. The role is designed for compassionate individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of aging adults.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and feeding.
• Supporting Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and driving clients.
• Developing long-lasting relationships with community residents and their families.
• Serving as an advocate for community residents.
• Engaging with the community and representing Commonwise's mission of caring for people.

Requirements

• Valid CNA license or equivalent experience in caregiving.
• Experience in the aging space or similar roles.
• Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Physical capability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or similar titles.
• Comfortable working with animals (dogs and cats).
