About the position

The Caregiver/Teacher position at Texas Christian Preschools involves creating a nurturing and interactive learning environment for children aged from newborns to 13 years. The role focuses on implementing the Frog Street curriculum, fostering social and emotional growth, and building strong relationships with children and their families in a faith-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Frog Street curriculum in an engaging and educational manner, tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers.
• Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Foster positive relationships with children, providing individualized attention and support.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
• Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and organized, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other staff members to support a cohesive and effective team environment.

Requirements

• Associate's in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
• High school diploma or GED (Required).
• Previous experience working with toddlers or in a licensed daycare or licensed early learning center setting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
• Must pass a criminal background state and federal check.

Nice-to-haves

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• Licensed childcare experience (1 year preferred)
