About the position

The Habilitation Specialist position at Liberty Healthcare is a full-time role focused on providing care and support to adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral support needs at the Robert M. Greer Center. This position is suitable for both experienced caregivers and those looking to start their careers in caregiving, with training provided for new hires. The role involves direct interaction with clients, monitoring their well-being, and assisting them in daily activities to promote independence and health.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with clients
• Continuously monitoring client activities, behaviors, health, and safety
• Providing appropriate interventions as necessary
• Engaging in pro-social activities with clients
• Supporting clients who need assistance with their activities of daily living
• Helping clients build related skills which will foster independence and good health

Requirements

• Compassionate and genuine interest in serving and supporting people with disabilities
• Healthcare, human services, or other professional/personal caregiver experience is helpful but not required

Benefits

• $18.54 per hour (approximately $38,500 annually)
• $1.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am
