About the position

As a Caregiver for ACASA Senior Care, you will play a vital role in providing in-home care to clients who wish to age in the comfort of their own homes. This position is designed for compassionate individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. You will assist clients with various daily activities, ensuring they receive the support they need to live safely and comfortably. Your responsibilities will include meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, and personal care tasks such as showering, toileting, and changing diapers or briefs. Building personal friendships with clients is a key aspect of this role, as it fosters a supportive and caring environment. The company is currently seeking qualified caregivers and direct support professionals to serve clients in several counties, including Fayette, Coweta, South Fulton, Clayton, Spalding, Henry, Meriwether, Pike, Lamar, and Heard. It is essential that applicants reside within these counties to be considered for employment. Most clients are located within a 30-minute radius of Peachtree City, where the company's home office is situated. This part-time position offers flexible schedules and start dates, allowing you to balance your work with other commitments. Additionally, ACASA Senior Care provides paid training and opportunities for professional development, ensuring that you are well-prepared to meet the needs of your clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks.
  • Provide personal care, including showering, toileting, and changing diapers/briefs.
  • Transport clients to appointments and social activities.
  • Develop personal friendships with clients to enhance their comfort and well-being.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition.

Requirements

  • 6 months of caregiving or direct support experience required.
  • Current CPR Certification and First Aid Certification.
  • CNA Certificate or Personal Care Aid Certificate preferred.
  • Current TB Test.
  • Valid Driver License and Automobile Insurance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in caregiving for at least 1 year.
  • Professional work experience in any field for at least 5 years.
