About the position
The Caregiver / Direct Support Professional at Sevita plays a crucial role in providing community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This part-time position focuses on helping participants grow, learn, and live fulfilling lives while fostering meaningful relationships. Caregivers will support individuals with personal hygiene, developmental goals, and community engagement, ensuring a compassionate and patient approach to care.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
- Support participants in achieving developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Help participants engage in community activities and their favorite pastimes.
- Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
- Provide support to individuals with behavioral challenges and complex needs.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance required for day and evening shifts.
- No High School Diploma required.
- No prior experience necessary.
