About the position
The Caregiver position at Associated Home Care involves providing personalized in-home assistance to clients, primarily seniors, to help them maintain their independence and quality of life. Caregivers will engage in various tasks including personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities, ensuring clients feel cared for and respected in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, transportation, ambulation, and transfers.
- Provide personal care including dressing, bathing, mobility assistance, incontinence care, and other services.
- Offer companionship and friendship to seniors and loved ones.
- Remind clients to take their medications.
- Maintain communication in a daily log regarding the client's health, well-being, and activities.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable vehicle.
- Open availability strongly preferred.
- Submit to a criminal background check.
- CPR Certified.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a CNA, Homemaker, Personal Care Aide, Companion, or similar positions.
