About the position
The Caregiver position at Associated Home Care involves providing direct care and companionship to clients in their homes. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, ensuring clients feel supported and valued while maintaining their independence. Caregivers will engage in various tasks, including personal care, light housekeeping, and transportation, while fostering a nurturing environment for seniors.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, transportation, ambulation, and transfers.
- Provide personal care including dressing, bathing, mobility assistance, incontinence care, and other services.
- Offer companionship and friendship for seniors and loved ones.
- Remind clients to take their medications.
- Maintain communication in a daily log of the client's health, well-being, and activities.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable vehicle.
- Open availability strongly preferred.
- Submit to a criminal background check.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a CNA, Homemaker, Personal Care Aide, Companion, or similar positions.
