About the position

The Caregiver position at Seniors Helping Seniors Central Oklahoma involves providing compassionate care to seniors in their homes. Caregivers, who are seniors themselves, assist with daily living activities and help maintain the independence of their clients. The role is part-time and requires flexibility in shift availability, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for seniors through companionship and support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, feeding, and bathing.
• Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, vacuuming, and washing dishes.
• Run errands and assist with shopping.
• Remind clients to take their medications on time.
• Provide incidental transportation to appointments or outings.
• Offer overnight supervision as needed.
• Assist with mobility and toileting needs.

Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience or relevant certifications (CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Valid Driver's License with a reliable vehicle and insurance.
• Empathy, compassion, and reliability in dealing with seniors.
• Ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with oxygen concentrators/tanks.
• 10 years of caregiving experience (preferred).
