About the position
Allpro Homecare is seeking an In-Home Caregiver to provide quality care to our veteran population. This role involves delivering non-medical personal care and assistance with daily living activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in their homes. The caregiver will work as an independent contractor, allowing for flexible scheduling and the opportunity for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
- Assists client with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assists client with toileting, including use of bedpan, commode, or toilet.
- Assists client with transfers and ambulation including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair.
- Performs housekeeping duties.
- Plans, prepares, and serves meals, with assistance from the clients when they are able.
- Assists with shopping and errands.
- Reports any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator.
- Acts quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
- Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation required.
- Willingness to travel at least 45 minutes is a must.
- Hoyer Lift experience is preferable.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Adequate physical endurance.
