The Caregiver position at Harbor View Assisted Living involves supporting residents with their daily activities, ensuring their personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health are maintained. Responsibilities
- Support residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.
- Encourage resident independence and support resident choice.
- Preserve resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.
- Exhibit a positive customer service attitude by being approachable and friendly.
- Complete work without constant supervision and demonstrate consistent attendance.
- Communicate effectively, including careful listening and timely reporting to appropriate individuals.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
- Participate in designated facility in-services and help new staff learn job tasks.
Requirements
- Prior direct care experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Must meet age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.
