About the position
We are seeking a compassionate and competent Caregiver to provide high-quality assistance to clients who are ill, injured, disabled, or elderly. This part-time role involves supporting clients with their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a patient demeanor, making a positive impact on the lives of those they care for.
Responsibilities
- Remind clients to take prescribed medication
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents to the agency
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Requirements
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate demeanor
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Driver's License
- 1 year of caregiving experience (preferred)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in patient care
- Ability to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks
