About the position
Allpro Homecare is seeking an In-Home Caregiver to provide quality care to veterans, focusing on non-medical personal care and assistance with daily living activities. This role allows caregivers to set their own schedules and work independently as contractors, contributing to the well-being and safety of clients in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Assists client with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assists client with toileting, including use of bedpan, commode, or toilet.
- Assists client with transfers and ambulation, including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair.
- Performs housekeeping duties.
- Plans, prepares, and serves meals, with assistance from the clients when they are able.
- Assists with shopping and errands.
- Reports any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator.
- Acts quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
- Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Experience as a caregiver is preferable.
- Valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation.
- Hoyer Lift experience (specific to client).
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Adequate physical endurance.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with veterans.
- Certification in CPR or First Aid.
