About the position

As a Caregiver/Personal Assistant at ComForcare Home Services, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to seniors in their homes. This part-time position is designed for individuals who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for elderly clients through personal assistance and companionship. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders. You will also provide companionship through conversation and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote their well-being. The role requires a commitment to working specific hours, particularly from 10 am to 1 pm on designated days, including Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. This schedule allows for a consistent routine for both you and the clients, fostering a trusting relationship. You will be expected to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 25 pounds, as well as assisting clients with mobility and positioning. Your ability to provide emotional support and companionship is equally important, as many clients may feel isolated or lonely. In addition to the core responsibilities, you will be part of a supportive team that values your contributions and offers ongoing training and development opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming

  • Remind clients to take their medications

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 1+ year experience in caring for seniors or family caregiving
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clear background check
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to perform activities that require kneeling, bending, twisting, reaching, carrying, or stopping

Nice-to-haves

  • Valid Driver's License
