The Caregiver/Personal Assistant role at Vital Caring Group involves providing essential personal care and support to patients in the Katy area. Responsibilities

• Recognize and report abnormalities and/or changes in the patient's health status and responses to treatment to a licensed professional.
• Provide personal care such as bathing and dressing, patient home safety, and companionship.
• Assist in activities of daily living and complete necessary tasks to promote patient health, including assisting patients with basic hygiene needs, maintaining an optimum level of mobility, and assisting patients with nutritional intake as needed.
• Assist with transportation to doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, and pet care as requested.

Requirements

• Must have at least one year of experience in caregiving in any setting including hospital, nursing home, assisted living, or home health/private duty.
• Experience with completing Activities of Daily Living: bathing, dressing, cooking, light cleaning, toilet assistance, transfer Hoyer lift/sliding board transfers.
• Position requires bending, stooping, and lifting/transferring up to 40 pounds.
• Reliable transportation, valid Texas Driver's License, and automobile liability insurance.
• Must pass an extensive background check.
