About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support to individuals with varying needs, including those with autism and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care and senior care, and possess the skills necessary to assist with daily living activities. This role requires a nurturing individual who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they assist.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of clients.
• Assist with patient monitoring, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
• Support clients in social activities and community engagement.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Background in home care or senior care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of meal preparation and nutrition principles is a plus.
• Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and care plan development is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy are essential for this role.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
