About the position

The Personal Support Assistant (PSA) role is designed to assist employees at a large technology company in Mountain View, CA, ensuring their productivity and comfort in the workplace. The position involves providing personal care and support, navigating the work environment, and addressing mobility and accessibility needs. The PSA will work full-time, Monday to Friday, with a focus on enhancing the work experience for tech employees.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and provide information to employees as needed to increase productivity.
  • Help employees navigate unfamiliar locations, including entering/exiting buildings and elevators.
  • Anticipate and resolve mobility and accessibility issues.
  • Provide occasional personal care as needed by employees, including assistance in restrooms.
  • Guide employees to/from the cafe for lunch, serve food, and assist with cutting food.
  • Occasionally travel with employees for business meetings, with all expenses paid.

Requirements

  • At least two years of personal care assistance experience required.
  • Must be willing to work 100% in-office.
  • Must be willing to take a TB test or have a cleared TB test.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check.
  • Must be able to write and speak clear English.
  • Familiarity with G-Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar) is required.
  • Knowledge of proper transfer techniques, including using a Hoyer lift, is necessary.
  • Must be able to commute to different locations if needed.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally with clients (all expenses paid).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with caregiving for both genders.
