About the position

CareMaxx is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Caregivers or Personal Care Assistants (PCA). This role is essential in providing support to seniors and individuals with physical disabilities in their home settings. As a Caregiver, you will assist with daily activities, ensuring that our clients maintain their independence and quality of life. Your responsibilities will include light housekeeping, personal hygiene assistance, and meal preparation. Additionally, you will engage participants in community involvement by accompanying them to events, outings, and activities, fostering a sense of connection and belonging. The position requires reliable transportation, as many of our cases are not accessible via public transport. We currently have multiple part-time and full-time cases available in the Greensburg and Latrobe areas. Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and develop friendly relationships with seniors and their families
  • Help seniors with daily living tasks such as light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Provide occasional transportation and accompany seniors to the grocery store, doctor appointments, and pharmacy visits
  • Observe and report any changes in the senior's mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to immediate supervisor
  • Maintain a trusting and comforting environment in the home

Requirements

  • Enjoy working with seniors or individuals with physical disabilities
  • Applicants must be 18 years and older
  • Caring and compassionate demeanor
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Criminal history clearance
