About the position

Trail Ridge Home Care, part of the not-for-profit American Baptist Homes of the Midwest family, is seeking friendly and compassionate individuals to join our Caregiver and Personal Care team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing companionship and assisting seniors with their personal care needs. This position is designed for those who are passionate about helping others and want to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors in their homes. You will work directly with clients, utilizing various techniques to encourage and support their ability to maintain or attain their highest level of physical, mental, and social well-being. In this role, you will take pride in managing the needs and care regimen of your clients, ensuring that they receive the best possible support. You will collaborate closely with our courteous business office staff to develop personalized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs. The position offers flexible part-time shift assignments based on client needs, allowing you to balance your work with other commitments. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills necessary to succeed in this role. We are hiring multiple roles and offer competitive hourly wages ranging from $16 to $19, depending on experience. Additionally, we pay for drive time and reimburse for mileage, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to enter the caregiving field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship to seniors in their homes.
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Encourage and support clients in maintaining their physical, mental, and social well-being.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required; training will be provided.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and auto insurance.
  • Access to a personal vehicle for transportation of clients as needed.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be aged 18 or older.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working with seniors is desired but not mandatory.
