About the position

The Caregiver Support Specialist Supervisor at Olive Crest is responsible for overseeing the Caregiver Support Specialists and Case Aides, ensuring they provide optimal care and support for foster youth and their caregivers. This role involves clinical consultation, monitoring daily operations, evaluating services, and facilitating training to comply with relevant regulations. The supervisor will also carry a small caseload and assist in crisis situations, while fostering relationships with external agencies and promoting team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned Caregiver Support Specialists and Case Aides.
  • Attend all meetings related to cases, including weekly caregiver support specialist meetings and staffings.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of care and support for foster youth and their caregivers.
  • Provide daily supervision through oversight, clinical consultation, and auditing of case files.
  • Monitor daily operations of the Caregiver Support program, including assignment of caseloads.
  • Evaluate services provided and outcomes achieved by the team.
  • Establish and oversee caregiver support specialist training to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Assist with carrying a caseload as needed.
  • Review and approve quarterly reports, treatment plans, and Serious Incident Reports.
  • Conduct performance evaluations as directed by Olive Crest policy.
  • Facilitate one-on-one and group supervision to develop clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Respond to crisis situations during working and non-working hours.
  • Coordinate hiring and training of new staff.
  • Attend leadership and supervisory meetings as scheduled.
  • Ensure staff meet ongoing training requirements and maintain training logs.
  • Lead weekly staff meetings and document clinical log notes.
  • Review and approve timecards and manage staff coverage for vacations or leaves.
  • Assess and support youth and families with Case Aide Services and/or Caregiver Support Services.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social services or a closely related field, or Bachelor's degree with two years of experience working with children or youth.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and follow through with tasks.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of WACs related to foster licensing is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Professional or lived experience in foster care, child welfare, or social services.

  • Master's Degree in a related field.

  • Previous experience with clinical supervision or program management.
