Caregiver -Temporary FT Hours

About the position

The Caregiver position at Samaritan Village is a temporary full-time role focused on providing compassionate care to residents. Caregivers assist with daily living activities and are essential in ensuring the well-being and comfort of the residents. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and preparing meals.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Administer medications as required and manage shifts effectively.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure quality care.
• Recognize early signs of illness and escalate care needs appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with a team of dedicated employees across the Samaritan Village campus.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of caregiving experience in a senior living facility.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• First Aid Certification is required or must be obtained.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment DOJ/FBI criminal record clearance, TB test, drug-screen, and employment history verification.

Nice-to-haves

• Med Tech experience is preferred.
• Good judgment and ability to recognize early signs of illness.
• Ability to work independently and resolve conflicts effectively.
