About the position

As a Caregiver at Interim HealthCare, you will provide essential personal care and support to seniors, enabling them to live safely and happily at home. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling with competitive pay, allowing you to balance work and personal life while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to help them live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals and provide companionship to clients.
• Help with ambulation, transferring, and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document clients' conditions, notifying supervisors of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Engage clients in activities that bring them joy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and active Caregiver (HCA) registration in CA (or the ability to obtain one).
• Six months of experience in a caregiver role is preferred.
• CPR certification or the ability to obtain one.
• Valid CA driver's license, auto insurance, and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift 30 pounds.
